José Butron of Diga Racing Team 5th overall in Latvia

Last night we had heavy rain in Kegums so this morning the track was tougher than yesterday. José had some problems during the warm-up and he had the 22nd chrono. Priit however finished with a good 12th chrono.

First race
José Butron had the holeshot followed by Van Horebeek and Searle. During the second lap Van Horebeek passed him but José attacked immediately and got the leader position back. It was close racing between the two riders and a hard battle. Van Horebeek crashed. José kept the first position until the seventh lap when he made a mistake and Roelants, Nicholls and Herlings passed him. José
was now riding in 4th position followed by Van Horebeek. During the 11th lap Jeremy Van Horebeek passed José. A few laps later José lost a fight with Tixier for the fifth position. The Diga rider finally ended the race in 6th position. Roelants won the race in front of Herlings and Van Horebeek.

During the break after the first MX1 race it rained very hard and for their second race the MX2 riders got a very wet and muddy track. Again José was the fastest when the gate dropped but this time he had problems in the first turn and a bit later he was held up due to Jake Nicholls' spectacular crash.
José was 10th after the first lap in front of Ferrandis and behind Lupino. During the 3th lap José made a stop in the pit to change his googles. He came back on the track in 12th position. In lap 6 he was 11th behind Lupino. He kept this position for a few laps until he managed to pass Lupino in lap 8. Halfway the race he won one more place when he passed Getteman. José passed the finish in 8th position behind Larsen and in front of Getteman.
In the final result of the GP in Latvia, José was 5th, a great result.
